Tunable Composition of Mixed Self‐Assembled Shell‐by‐Shell Structures on Nanoparticle Surfaces

چکیده
The formation of mixed shell-by-shell (SbS) systems with tunable shell compositions is demonstrated by using molecular self-assembly driven chemical recognition motifs. Aluminum oxide nanoparticles (AlOx-NPs) act as template surface for a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) either partially fluorinated fluoroalkyl or alkyl chained phosphonic acid derivatives defined stoichiometric mixtures those. By providing an equimolar mixture corresponding and alkyl-chained amphiphiles in water, the stoichiometry underlaying SAM on NP-surface preferentially directs composition secondary self-assembly. assemblies studied high performance liquid chromatography fluorescence spectroscopy. concept allows NP-templated vesicle-like bilayer structures, even consisting orthogonal chain structures hydrophobic segregation.

Tunable composite nanoparticle for plasmonics.
We present a numerical study of the tunability properties of a plasmonic subwavelength particle deposited on a metallic slab. The particle is composed of a metallic part, supporting a localized plasmon mode, separated from the slab by a dielectric spacer. It is shown that the position of the resonance wavelength can be modified over a large spectral range by changing either the spacer thickness...
متن کاملMacroscopic and tunable nanoparticle superlattices.
We describe a robust method to assemble nanoparticles into highly ordered superlattices by inducing aqueous phase separation of neutral capping polymers. Here we demonstrate the approach with thiolated polyethylene-glycol-functionalized gold nanoparticles (PEG-AuNPs) in the presence of salts (for example, K2CO3) in solutions that spontaneously migrate to the liquid-vapor interface to form a Gib...

We show that a locally Ahlfors 2-regular and locally linearly locally contractible metric surface is locally quasisymmetrically equivalent to the disk. We also discuss an application of this result to the problem of characterizing surfaces embedded in some Euclidean space that are locally bi-Lipschitz equivalent to a ball in the plane. متن کاملAnisotropic wetting on tunable micro-wrinkled surfaces
We examine the wettability of rough surfaces through a measurement approach that harnesses a wrinkling instability to produce model substrate topographies. Specifically, we probe the wetting of liquids on anisotropic micro-wrinkled features that exhibit well-defined aspect ratios (amplitude versus wavelength of the wrinkles) that can be actively tuned. Our study provides new insight into the we...
